Rebeldes como pocas veces, las masas (particularmente los j\u00f3venes) se opon\u00edan a casi todo lo que tuviera forma de obligaci\u00f3n impuesta por el Estado o sus socios corporativos. Kennedy y dem\u00e1s hechos revulsivos, configuraban un panorama de \u00abantes y despu\u00e9s\u00bb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sexual behaviour, by the way, was not left out, and had its own revolution. In addition to the enormous relaxation of love-making habits promoted by the youth movements, there was the popularisation of the contraceptive pill. Algo muy distinto al muy fisiol\u00f3gico de su obra m\u00e1s famosa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At its core, Masters and Johnson's model of sex therapy divided the human sexual response into 4 major phases: <strong>excitation phase, plateau phase, orgasmic phase and resolution phase. <\/strong>They were differentiated by the method of Alfred Kinsey, the father of sexual research. This scientist, in the 1940s and 1950s, published reports on human sexual behaviour,<strong> <\/strong>based solely on interviews he conducted with dozens of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Masters and Johnson did something completely different. To the scandal of many, this couple of gurus of the sexual revolution (she a psychologist, he a gynaecologist) went much further: they took notes of the reactions of the volunteers who agreed to be analysed in the middle of the sexual act. They recorded the times. They attached electrodes to pairs of lovers to better monitor them while they were having sex in a laboratory. They used electrocardiographs, vibrators, cameras, etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For these methods (which earned them the nickname of perverts, voyeurs and worse) and for the conclusions they drew, Masters and Johnson were a hinge in the research on sex and its perception in the Western world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-el-legado\">THE LEGACY<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adem\u00e1s de su obra m\u00e1s conocida, \u00abLa respuesta sexual humana\u00bb (1966), estos gur\u00fas de la revoluci\u00f3n sexual publicaron \u00abIncompatibilidad sexual humana\u00bb (1970), \u00abEl v\u00ednculo del placer\u00bb (1975), y la ya mencionada \u00abHeterosexualidad\u00bb (1994).
